Alf Alfa

I introduced the kids to alfalfa sprouts at dinner tonight. Brendan had to be practically hog-tied to taste it (and hate it), but the girls liked it.
Ryann was shoving it in as fast as she could.
Kyla could not pronounce 'alfalfa'. She would say 'alfa alfa' or alf alfa'. I guess it doesn't matter since she ate it.

I have a friend from Palestine (a grown man) who cannot say alfalfa correctly - he also pronounces it "alpha alpha." His kids and my kids were trying one night to coach him. Al-falfa, they tell him. In his heavy accent, he says, "Dat's what I say - alpha alpha!" He couldn't get it to come out right for anything! It was funny hearing him try, though!
